Rokesly Nursery
Rokesly Nursery provision for 3-4 year olds

Welcome to Rokesly’s fantastic purpose-built NurseryThe classrooms are big and bright, with lovely outdoor areas which look out onto the rest of the school.

The Nursery day begins at 8am and ends at 5.30pm. Please see the ‘Join our school’ page for more information about the flexible sessions available.

Our Nursery and Reception classes follow the curriculum as outlined in the 2021 Statutory Framework for the EYFS. This framework includes 7 areas of learning and development that are equally important and all inter-connected:

The seven areas of learning are supported through the classroom provision. Our theme-based curriculum has a weekly book focus which links classroom activities. Children choose where they learn best and through continuous observations, staff constantly adapt and extend the children’s learning.

The outdoor area is set up by us to mirror the indoor provision so that your child, who may prefer being outdoors, will have access to the seven areas of learning.

In Nursery, the children explore Phase 1 of the “Little Wandle” phonics scheme, which includes environmental sounds, body percussion and rhyme.

More information about the curriculum can be found here
